I think companies that give back ROCK! Especially when they make it EASY….like in SO easy, all you have to do is buy their product.
Miracle Skin Transformer This holiday season, Miracle Skin Transformer makes giving back easy peezy. Miracle Skin Transformer will donate $5 from the sale of every Lip Rewind in the shade LOVE, a soft pink with a touch of shimmer, to the Children’s Action Network, a national non-profit dedicated to finding loving families for waiting foster children. This is the non-profit founded by Kate Capshaw, Steven Spielberg, and Henry Winkler that harnesses the power of the entertainment industry to raise awareness of children’s issues. Pretty Rockin'.
Now back to the actual product itself: Lip Rewind. I tried it in the shade of CORAL and LOVED it...at first (WAIT FOR IT.....) It's got a nice peppermint, tingly cooling sensation and plumped my lips with the hyaluronic acid. LIP REWIND has a blend of anti-oxidant rich butters that condition, smooth, and create a breathable barrier to maintain maximum moisture as well as powerful peptides to stimulate the dermal matrix, boosting collagen and helping to eliminate the appearance of lip lines.
Here's what LIP REWIND by Miracle Skin Transformer does:
· Rebuilds the skin barrier to minimize moisture loss for touchable texture and a happy healthy smile
· Stimulates collagen synthesis for future fullness
· Helps protect skin & diminish drying & damage to prevent premature aging
· Visibly reduces lip lines and keeps lips soft and smooth
· SPF 20 provides broad spectrum sunscreen protection against damaging UV rays
I liked the appearance of the product, even tho a darker shade like LOVE would've looked nicer on my lips.
The thing I didn't like about his product is that the ingredient list shows it uses oxybenzone as a sunscreen. Well, reports suggest that under certain conditions, sunscreens with oxybenzone could lead to free-radical damage to the skin, a process that, in theory, could lead to skin cancer. So all in all, oxybenzone is a questionable ingredient to say the least - some say dangerous.
Now, let's talk about the APPLICATOR. LIP REWIND uses a twist pump in which each time you twist the tube, the gloss comes out of the center of a slanted sponge with a hole in the middle (SEE SLIDESHOW.) I've seen these applicators in the '80's or '90's - perhaps it was a Maybelline product? In any case, it was kinda cool that they used a RETRO applicator in a REWIND product. Or so I thought.
HOWEVER, after twisting the tube, the product would "creep out" of the applicator, making it a bit messy. You really couldn't exactly control the amount you got from the twist. Here's a on-line comment from a user:
